Ellen will be speaking at “The Girl Effect: Empowering Girls Globally,” a dialogue taking place October 10, the night before the International Day of the Girl Child. The Girl Effect is the positive ripple created inside a community when girls are empowered with access to education, economic independence and healthcare. Civic leaders, social entrepreneurs and child advocates from across Vancouver will share their local/global vision for girls.
